Hansa Photography
``What I want is the world to remember the problems and the people I photograph. What I want is to create a discussion about what is happening around the world and to provoke some debate with these pictures. Nothing more than this. I don't want people to look at them and appreciate the light and palate of tones. I want them to look inside and see what the pictures represent, and the kind of people I photograph.” - Sebastiao Salgado.

Photojournalism is different from other areas of photography; since the work contributes to the news media, it must be impartial and honest, and the story being told has to be strictly journalistic. One has to make instant decisions, and must always be at the ready. Often, the conditions are not optimal and are full of obstacles, such as crowds of people, poor weather, or the threat of physical danger.

When wearing my photojournalist “hat” I have the opportunity to change the way people view the world through my photographs. It allows for true reflection and capturing of raw unbiased emotions as it unfolds.
